This year, we’re hitting a major milestone at Simarine—our 10th anniversary! It’s been a decade of innovation and dedication in battery monitoring tech, and we’re pretty proud of it. To celebrate, we hosted our first-ever Dealer Days, bringing together partners and distributors from all over the world. It was a celebration of our past achievements and a wonderful opportunity to embark on a new chapter of collaboration, innovation, and growth for our community and partnership.
Groundbreaking updates
From the first welcome coffee, the event was all about finding the perfect mix between professional insights and personal connections, creating a friendly and engaging vibe for everyone. Our COO, Jaro Žuraj, kicked things off with a heartfelt speech, infused with his signature humour. He looked back on our brand’s amazing journey over the past ten years, full of hard work and determination, and talked about our strong commitment to keeping customers happy and our exciting plans for the future.
Jaro also shared updates about our latest and most innovative products, like the much-anticipated VIA2, and the next-gen Nereide series. These remarkable innovations are set to redefine the standards of battery monitoring technology by significantly enhancing efficiency and user experience.
Our CEO, Igor Kocman, announced a big update we’re all really excited about—historical data functionality! Currently in beta, this feature will soon be available to all.
Deep Dives and Insights
David Kropivšek, our Head of Support, led a comprehensive and insightful session on the PICO system and its modules. Distributors gained valuable insights into effectively advising customers and troubleshooting issues with precision. David also explored various connection types and their distinct advantages, dedicating ample time to a Q&A session to ensure complete comprehension and address any queries or concerns.
David continued with in-depth insights on the VIA digital switching, emphasizing the ongoing SPDU development and the changes introduced across different versions. This session highlighted the importance of understanding these systems in detail to better serve clients and improve user experiences.
The Simarine App and Remote Features
Sebastian Planinc, our app developer, offered a deep dive into the intricacies of the Simarine mobile App. He covered its intended use, target audience, current functionalities, and experimental features under development. Additionally, he discussed the cutting-edge REMOTE control feature, which enables users to connect SIMARINE devices to a router for seamless remote data access—a game-changer for RVs and off-grid setups, providing unprecedented convenience and flexibility.
Challenges and Opportunities in the RV and Marine Markets
The keynote, led by Gaber Bernik, discussed the challenges and opportunities in the RV and marine markets, with a focus on Simarine’s role. Gaber addressed early obstacles in gaining market trust, solving client issues, and overcoming electrical R&D challenges faced by RV OEMs. Additionally, he highlighted Simarine’s initial successes in the marine market and explored further opportunities in the growing RV industry.
Nereide 2
Tadej Vidovič, Simarine’s senior hardware and software developer, presented the advanced Nereide 2 system. He explained its central control panel operation in detail, its integration capabilities, and provided user-friendly setup instructions to facilitate ease of use. His session concluded with a live custom dashboard creation, demonstrating practical system applications and showcasing the system’s versatility and user-friendly design.
Nejc Vute, our high level software developer introduced the Simarine Configurator, a user-friendly tool for configuring the Nereide 2/PRO. Designed with simplicity in mind, the Configurator uses images to help users envision real-world setups. Boat builders can utilize it to tailor panels to specific customer needs and then transfer configurations via Wi-Fi, requiring only a computer and eliminating the need for cables.
Strategic Discussions and Future Outlook
A distinguished panel moderated by Tilen Blažica, Simarine’s Key Account Manager, featuring experts and partners, Arne Gründel (Elna – Germany), Nick Cook (TMS – U.K.), Conor Miller (Simarine – USA), explored global market challenges, distribution best practices, and support strategies for sales teams.
